New Prediction For The End Of The World… October - 21 - 2010 Researchers discovered the problem when they realised that the Mayan Calendar had originally been converted into today’s Gregorian calendar, where there is a significant difference of 2 years and 271 days bringing the date of the world ending from December 2010 to September 2015. www.thebluntblogger.com/3221/new-prediction-for-the-end-of-the-world

The Mayans utilized at least three different calendars. The main Mayan calendars were called the Haab, Tzolkin, and the Long Count. The Haab was a 365 day long calendar and was used for planting crops. The Tzolkin was a 260 day long calendar that consisted of 20 weeks of 13 days and was used for religious ceremonies. The Long Count calendar simply kept track of the time since the beginning of the current cycle. The Mayans believed that we are currently in the 4th cycle since the beginning of time. The Mayans kept track of the days with a number system that looked like this: 11.13.12.5.9 loveatheism.com/?p=345

See 5 Bright Planets in Night Sky—First Time in 8 Years Published February 28, 2012 For the first time in almost a decade, sky-watchers this week will be able to see all five naked-eye planets over the course of one night for several nights in a row. The classical naked-eye planets—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn—can be seen easily without optical aids and so have been known since ancient times. But the quintet hasn't appeared together during a single night since 2004. What's more, this week's parade of planets will be joined in the nighttime skies by the waxing crescent to waxing gibbous moon and the superbright stars Sirius and Canopus. news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2012/02/120228-planets-moon-night-sky-venus-jupiter-space-science/

Protect your eyes. There are several safe ways to watch Venus transit the sun. Much of the world can witness the 2012 transit of Venus. The date depends on what side of the International Dateline you will be observing. Observers in North America will see the transit in the evening on June 5, 2012, through sunset, so you want to have a clear western horizon. * Region X - Beginning and end of Transit are visible, but the Sun sets for a short period around maximum transit. * Region Y - Beginning and end of Transit are NOT visible, but the Sun rises for a short period around maximum transit. A transit of Venus occurs when Venus passes directly between the sun and earth. This alignment is rare, coming in pairs that are eight years apart but separated by over a century. The most recent transit of Venus was a thrilling sight in 2004. After the June 2012 transit of Venus (the last one in your lifetime), the next such alignment occurs in 2117. www.transitofvenus.org/

Venus Invades the Pleiades. The action begins on Monday evening, April 2nd, when Venus enters the outskirts of the little dipper-shaped asterism. Look west at sunset for Venus--it's the brightest thing around--then scan the area using binoculars. The conjunction will be immediately clear. The best evening to look is Tuesday, April 3rd, when the brilliant planet glides just south of the dipper's bowl. Venus exits by the handle on Wednesday, April 4th. Venus passes through the Pleiades in this way about once every 8 years. The Pleiades, also known as the "Seven Sisters," are a cluster of young stars. They formed barely 100 million years ago during the age of dinosaurs on Earth from a collapsing cloud of interstellar gas. The biggest and brightest members are blue-white and about five times wider than our own sun. science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2012/02apr_venuspleiades/

MAYAN CALENDAR TZOLKIN - The Quiché Count Oldest known Maya calendar found in Guatemala - May 10, 2012 Not all of the writing has been deciphered yet, but some clearly describe the 260-day ceremonial calendar, the 365-day solar calendar, the 584-day cycle of Venus and the 780-day cycle of Mars. Another calendar nearby comprises 17 baktuns, or 400-year periods, encompassing an additional 4,000 years beyond the 21st century. articles.latimes.com/2012/may/10/science/la-sci-ancient-mayan-calendar-20120511

On the date of the Millennium it is clear that someone counted right from the start of the Calendar, apparently established for the first time some 14,000 years ago. The so-called "Gregorian Calendar" used today, corrects the Solar Year (or Year of the Seasons) of 365.242199074 days by adding (intercalating) an extra leap day every four years (0.25 days) except if it is a century year that is not exactly divisible by four (as, say, 1600; 2000; 2400). Thus, each year the correction adds to 365 + 1/4 - 3/400 = 365.2425. The slight difference means that the Gregorian Calendar loses one day every 3,323 years. The story of Gregorian Calendar reform is very curious, and has much to do with the Millennium. When it was introduced, in 1582, many countries (particularly Protestant) refused to accept it for about 2 centuries, until it was officially instituted in 1752, in England. The Gregorian reform which replaced the previous Julian Calender of 365.25 days, entailed a loss of 11 days, so that the day following Sept. 2, 1752 became Sept. 14, 1752. Many people revolted in England, demanding "give us back our 11 days". As we see, the Calendar date was corrected to bring the Civil Year (Gregorian) in step with the seasons, by the "loss" of 11 days. But the religious dates were not corrected, and Christmas is commemorated in the 25th. of December, when indeed it commemorates the Winter Solstice, now falling in Dec.21. Likewise, St. John, the "Twin" and dual of Christ is commemorated on June 24, whereas the Summer Solstice now falls in Jun. 20. There is thus a difference of about 3.5 days. Why is this? This is a very curious fact, and one that proves beyond reasonable doubt that the Religious Calendar indeed coincided with the end of Atlantis, some 11,600 years ago. This number, 3.5, coincides with the mysterious "a time, two times and a half time" of Revelation, as well as with the three days of "chaos" of Carnival, etc., and, above all, with the "three days dead of Christ, Osiris, Attis, and other such dying-resurrecting "Vegetation" Gods. As we see, the 3.5 days corresponds almost exactly to the date of 11, 600 posited as the start of the current calendar. This is so because every 3,323 years the Gregorian Calendar loses 1 day and if we divide 11,600 by 3,323 we find the result is equal to the 3.491 days lost by the Calendar during this huge time span since its restart, shortly after the fall of Atlantis. To put this another way, the Gregorian Calendar corrects TOWARDS the solar year (365.242199074 days) by adding one day every 4 years except where a century year not divisible by 4 occurs. The result 365+1/4-3/400=365.2425, the extra assumed length (beyond 365.242199074) gradually eats up the days by 1 every 3,323 years. Since we are now looking at a situation where the original Solstice dates of 25 December and 24 June have slipped back to 21 December and 20 June for the "equinox of the present" it means about 3.5 days have been eaten up since this "equinox-based" calendar was started. To reiterate, the time taken to eat up 3.5 days can be taken as 11600/3323 = 3.491 or, (11600 x (365.2425-365.242199074)) = 3.596, (or so). This then points to the instant the solstistic/equinoxial calendar was started, 11,600 years ago. Now this argument may be very well calculated, but, we can also ask "what does it mean?" By this argument it might be said that a calendar based on 365 days and "pegged" by an accurate determination of 2 "fulcrum" days - solstice days - winter 25, December and summer 24 June, was started immediately after the demise of Atlantis 11,600 years and so someone had to start and maintain this count as an identity with December 25 and June 24. In turn this means that something had to survive the demise of Atlantis to perform the rather exacting calculation/estimation involved. While it can certainly be agreed that the start of the count must represent something very very important does it necessarily mean that the current calendar was started when Atlantis stopped, and that some accurate day-fixing knowledge remained after Atlantis herself had perished? It might mean a substantial colony survived, say in Egypt around the pyramids or in India. Then one might say that the calendar was reset to mark the end of the world, so to speak This now requires a further step in the logic of time-based calculation. Imagine, if you will, that the ancient Atlanteans had devised the scheme of correction we know as the Gregorian Calendar, for it is a cunning system and one that is not intuitively obvious. How it might have been done and verified for the first time, is not at all clear unless a computer was used. As per the reasoning above, this calendar "gains" 1 day every 3,323 years. Hence, if it has gained 3.5 days, the count actually started 3.5 x 3323 = 11,630 years previously. Now, this is almost exactly the date of the Atlantean cataclysm according to Plato (9,000 years before the times of Solon = 600BC) as well as that of the end of the Pleistocene (in RC years corrected to actual time). At the very least, these are remarkable coincidences. But then, there is also the matter of the "Three Days Dead" and the 3.5 "days" of revelation and of Daniel, a very, very odd and insistent number in Apocalyptical events (death of Christ, darkness, omens, etc. = Atlantean cataclysm = death of World; inconsutable Mantle ripped = earth's crust cracked, etc.). In addition, there is also an extensive mythology on the peplos (veil) of Hera = Gaia, of Christ (Mantle, Sudario), of the Temple, etc., always allegorizing the cracking of earths's crust at the occasion (we propose a volcanic paroxysm). www.goldenages.org/site/atlanti2.htm

^^ Coast to Coast ^^ Locating Atlantis Researcher of ancient mysteries, Frank Joseph Hoff, discussed the unusual work of Brazilian Prof. Arysio Santos on the true location of Atlantis. The late Prof. Santos had a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics but was also a specialist in a variety of disciplines including climatology, chemistry, geology, and archeology. Through such sources as ancient Hindu texts, and the writings of Plato and his contemporaries, he was able to "reverse engineer" the location of Atlantis-- a submerged subcontinent in Southeast Asia, where the Indian Ocean, South China Sea, and the Pacific Ocean all come together, Hoff recounted, adding that Indonesia is part of this land mass that is visible today (the location is pictured on Santos' book cover). According to Santos, Atlantis had advanced machinery and weapons. They had air-based vimanas or vehicles so large that they could transport thousands of people, homes, and environments from one side of the world to another, as well as nuclear weapons and warheads that hastened their demise. The continent of Atlantis was hit by a massive tsunami that was over a mile high after a Krakatoa volcanic explosion, and millions died, Hoff continued in his detailing of Santos' accounts, adding that subsequently the continent was engulfed by rising sea levels between 11,000 to 12,000 years ago. Santos also believed that around 75,000 years ago, Atlantis' predecessor, Lemuria, was destroyed by the Toba volcano, and the survivors spent the next 60,000 years rebuilding and migrating to other lands such as the Indus Valley, and South America. Appearing for a segment in the second hour, Dr. Robin Harger, talked about his collaborations with Prof. Santos, and how he was able to confirm Santos' findings by locating craters on Google Earth in the Sunda Strait that were large enough to have played a role in the demise of Atlantis. He also matched a string of a thousand islands with rocky features in the South China Sea to the Atlantean location (see related graphics). Appearing briefly at the start of the third hour, communication consultants Ray Pillai & Saunthara Subramaniam phoned in from Indonesia, to discuss their work in studying a Dravidian language that is a close derivative of the language the Atlanteans allegedly spoke called Dravida. Hoff has an expedition team in place to conduct further studies in and near Indonesia-- artifacts found in the waters have been dated to over 13,000 years ago, he noted. www.coasttocoastam.com/show/2012/07/05INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON NATURE, PHILOSOPHY AND CULTURE OF ANCIENT SUNDA CIVILIZATION held at the Salak Hotel in Bogor, Indonesia. www.3rdeyecom.biz/sunda.htm

The hornéd Moon with one bright star Within the nether tip...Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner THE MYSTERIES OF THE CRESCENT AND STAR - NOTES ON THE HILAL AS A SYMBOL OF ISLAM In the case of Islam the crescent, or the crescent and a star, (hereafter called the "hilal", the Arabic word for the lunar crescent of the New Moon) is the generally acknowledged symbol of the Islamic faith, yet it was not formally adopted into this role until quite late in the Ottoman Caliphate, which is to say in early modern times; it was not a part of Islam from the outset. Like Christianity and Judaism, Islam had no defining symbol in the beginning. No emblem accompanied the Islamic revelation. The Prophet Muhammad endorsed no symbol. Instead, the Muslim religion, like others, acquired its symbol in the course of history, and even then quite recently. www.theabodeofpeace.com/hilal.html

Wiki: The Calendar (New Style) Act 1750 (c.23) (also known as Chesterfield's Act after Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield) is an Act of the Parliament of Great Britain. It reformed the calendar of England and British Dominions so that a new year began on 1 January rather than 25 March (Lady Day) and would run according to the Gregorian calendar, as used in most of western Europe. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calendar_%28New_Style%29_Act_1750September (7/septi), October (8/octo), November (9/noven), December (10/deca) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numeral_prefix
