If you love this province, you've GOT to love oil.
That's the deal.
Just forget about the silly notion of sustainable energy. Already!
It's The Queen, Her Offspring, Oil.

Stephen Harper breaks election rules, campaigns on radio on election day * May 2nd, 2011 5:10 pm ET In an interview this morning with Bill Good on CKNW www.cknw.com/Channels/Reg/News/TheBillGoodShow.aspx in Vancouver, Stephen Harper openly campaigned for the Conservative Party of Canada, asking listeners to "vote Conservative" in defiance of Elections Canada rules and regulations that state no campaigning may be done during the media blackout on election day. During the interview Stephen Harper contravined the Elections Canada Act by stating that "It is certain that I will vote, and I encourage all other people to vote, and I encourage people to do the same as me and vote Conservative." The host of the CKNW call in radio show, Bill Good, was quick to reply to listeners that "We encourage you to vote too, but we encourage you to vote whichever way you feel is appropriate." Sections 480 to 499 of the Elections Canada Act detail prohibited activites by candidates during the imposed media blackout on election day in Canada. www.examiner.com/canada-headlines-in-canada/stephen-harper-breaks-election-rules-campaigns-on-radio-on-election-dayFrom the prime minister, great. Constituent Information Management System (CIMS) campaign
"The Responsive Marketing Group (RMG) was listed as a supplier for seven Conservatives and is a good example of party centralization. Flanagan (2007, 86 -- Yes, THAT Flanagan!) states that in 2003 this telemarketing company was tasked with coordinating “all” of the party’s voter-contact work and that RMG’s services “linked nicely” with the party centre’s “Constituency Information Management System” that stored voter identification data."
CIMS = collected and stored voter identification data that was collected without the knowledge or consent of the people it belonged to. We should all be able to find out what is in our own CIMS files -- I am going to write today to find out about mine.
In fact, when you see how Conservatives use the information, the average citizen would probably be very very glad that scientists, ideally free from political intervention, are tasked to manage the Census of Canada. They actually follow RULES, whereas the Conservatives don't even care about the PIPEDA regulations that all Canadian businesses and organizations have to follow. CIMS is an ethical nightmare that the Conservatives seem quite happy to continue with. "Former Conservative-turned-Liberal MP Garth Turner revealed that the Conservatives require MPs to input constituency office information into a consolidated political database system called Constituent Information Management System or CIMS. This led to controversy over whether the Conservatives breach privacy laws with this practice. Since they are not a business, however, they probably do not. " "Key to RMG's corporate operations is its ability to build contact lists of its own. Where most telemarketers simply appeal to charities' donor lists on behalf of the charities, RMG has strictly-enforced contracts that make these lists their property for their own use. "They've created vast databases of people that will give to telephone appeals," says the consultant. "It's part of their contracts that they own those names. Most telemarketers don't have the right to the names they contact, but these guys do." Thunder Bay call center, Responsive Marketing Group, owned by a Member of Parliament. "RMG builds information files on each donor - files that are available for use in subsequent campaigns. " www.harperindex.ca/ViewArticle.cfm?Ref=00113and: cjms.fims.uwo.ca/issues/03-01/marland.pdf"The Responsive Marketing Group (RMG) was listed as a supplier for seven Conservatives and is a good example of party centralization. One of their main leaders, according to a Toronto fund-raising consultant who asked not be identified, is probably Michael Davis, CEO of the Responsive Marketing Group (RMG), a telemarketing corporation that raises money for many of Canada's biggest charities. ... Davis formerly worked with fundraising consultant Craig Copland, the founder or co-founder of at least six Canadian charities that routinely spend 70 percent or more of contributions on telemarketers and other expenses, according to a recent Toronto Star investigation. ... Davis' RMG works in similar fashion. 'With RMG and Xentel, they'll guarantee money, but in effect you turn over your charitable tax number to them,' says the consultant. 'They can hide it in various ways.' He says says, 'Davis is smart.Three years ago he severed his connection with Copland,' who is now drawing public heat. Davis is well known in the fund-raising profession for the work he has done for conservative causes. ... In the 1980s, Davis was associated with a scandal concerning the Canadian Liver Foundation. He helped increase the charity's earnings 'from $2 million to $11 or 12 million,' recalls the consultant, 'but it only netted [the charity] several thousand. See www.rmgsite.ca/about_profiles.phpKey management have ties to Elections Ontario, Ontario Conservative Party, Michael Harris, Ernie Eves etc ________________________ "RMG works exclusively with right-of-centre campaigns to design and execute integrated programs that use direct mail, the telephone and online tools to build relationships that deliver results for our clients. For the past 15 years RMG has helped Canadian conservatives win: * We have helped them raise over $ 75 million in much needed campaign funds; * We have sold over a million memberships... RMG employs over 400 full time employees. Our senior management team has over 200 years of combined experience in helping conservatives get elected. With over 4 million dollars invested in state of the art technology, from leading edge data management and analytical tools to variable data printing to the very latest in contact centre technology our firm has what it takes to provide you with an unmatched advantage."

Minus 9 days.
The 2010 Spring session of the Alberta Legislature wrapped up yesterday with little fanfare. Ending a month and a half earlier than the increasingly pointless Legislative calendar had scheduled, Premier Ed Stelmach‘s PCs seemed happy to cut short one of their roughest sessions in decades. Here are some thoughts on how each of the parties fared during the 2010 Spring session: daveberta.ca/2010/04/spring-session-of-the-alberta-legislature-cut-short/ June 2 2011.

Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP): Security and prosperity for whom? by Andrew Gavin Marshall - Global Research, March 17, 2008
In March of 2005, the leaders of Canada (Paul Martin), the U.S. (George W. Bush), and Mexico (Vicente Fox) signed an agreement called the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP). ...
Apparently, Martin was listening, because one of the signatories of this letter was none other than a vice chairman of the CCCE and then-CEO of Canfor Corporation, Canada’s largest softwood lumber producer, David L. Emerson. Emerson would go on to be Martin’s Minister of Industry. www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8375 Hawks CAFE is asking UKIP to investigate Crown Agents Sisters’ Theresa Yeuk-Si Tang (Mrs. Emerson) and her colleagues for allegedly using City & Guilds’ Plumbers to sabotage the blow out preventer of the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig, thereby supporting a fraudulent bordereau claim on BP re-insurers after the rig was sunk on April 22, 2010 Boy, were those constituents upset, to elect a Liberal, then poof!! get a sleazy turd Conservative that 81.2% of the constituency didn't want.
# He was first elected as a Liberal and served as Minister of Industry under Prime Minister Paul Martin. After controversially crossing the floor to join Stephen Harper's Conservatives, he served as Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Pacific Gateway and the Vancouver-Whistler Prorogue Olympics, followed by Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Schwarzenegger and DSK: When Powerful Men Cross Lines ProPublica, May 17, 2011, 5:59 p.m. Their experiences with Schwarzenegger were double humiliations. First they suffered through the acts themselves: demeaning—often public—groping, unwanted, invasive kisses, crude, belittling comments. Far worse, they felt forced by circumstance to let Schwarzenegger behave badly—like an overindulged toddler, as one woman put it. A complaint against the bigger-than-life moneymaker could tank their careers. Not a single woman felt anyone would have taken their side or chastised the star. www.propublica.org/article/schwarzenegger-and-dsk-when-powerful-men-cross-linesWhen Blacknut came, on the heels of GWB and Condi Rice, I might add, his stupid little Enron-Cheney ubernator star was doused by the news of Premier Stelmach retiring.
That's all the luncheon Con crowd talked about! Again: called his opponents “girlie-men” Edmonton. ($400 per person for lunch and to hear Schwarzenegger speak. He wowed a crowd of about 2,200 people and got a standing ovation.) www.edmontonjournal.com/story_print.html?id=4774894Tickets for the Oct. 18 2011 event at the Shaw Conference Centre, called A Conversation with Arnold Schwarzenegger, go on sale to the general public starting May 30. Arnold Schwarzenegger will carry the Olympic torch - Tue Feb 09 09:00am EST Even more perplexing is that Schwarzenegger will carry the torch on Friday morning, a scant twelve hours before the Opening Ceremony begins, meaning that an Austro-American politician will be a major figure during one of Canada's finest moments. sports.yahoo.com/olympics/blog/fourth_place_medal/post/Arnold-Schwarzenegger-will-carry-the-Olympic-tor?urn=oly-218460The Peninsula: "ENRON: The Smartest Guys in The Room" 24 Mar 2010.
